The most popular Japanese anime of all, Naruto chronicles the life of everybody’s favorite young ninja. Since its debut, the iconic show has captivated fans with its action-packed coming-of-age story. When Naruto Uzumaki set forth on his journey with dreams of becoming the strongest ninja, he earned the respect of not only his village but also millions of fans. That is why years after the show and manga ended, fans are eagerly waiting for the anniversary special episodes, which, unfortunately for them, were delayed.
To celebrate the iconic anime’s lasting impact, its studio announced four special episodes on 3rd September, which marks its 20th anniversary. But now the official website of the series has announced that these will be delayed. This decision was made by Studio Pierrot, who produced the show because they were not satisfied with how those four episodes turned out.

For fans of the iconic show, which has inspired many others like Jujutsu Kaisen, this news came as a hard blow. Until then, they may find some respite in the fact that the studio is releasing Boruto: Next Generation episodes instead! Despite this, fans’ comments still painted a forlorn picture.
While fans were eager to give tribute to the journey of Naruto Uzumaki through the anniversary special episodes, not all were dismayed. Some took the news hard, but others were hopeful that the improvements would be worth the wait.
The Naruto delay garners mixed reactions from netizens
For now, fans can only wish that the studio works on fixing the episodes as fast as the young ninja can run. Although disappointed, many rallied in support of the studio’s decision. Because if the final result ends up being as special as an anniversary episode should be, all will be well. Twitterati blurted out all these mixed reactions in the comments.
