Not long ago, one of the most anticipated and popular anime titles, Demon Slayer, returned to our screens with an exciting new season. Not only did the new arc leave the fans in awe, but it also surpassed the fandom’s expectations. Every new episode has become immensely popular and the anime fans cannot seem to get enough of it. Owing to the incredible job the creators have done, every social media platform is filled with Demon Slayer discussions. And the recent episode’s shocking face reveal has added to all the fervor.

Any amount of intrigue and mystery behind an anime character plays a great deal in making them more interesting. After all, the thrill of seeing how well they keep their secrets hidden while maintaining a double life is enticing to the viewers. And recently, a similar happening took place. The latest episode of Demon Slayer’s Swordsmith Village arc recently graced our screens.

Similar to all episodes, this too was equally thrilling and enjoyable. However, it also introduced the fans to what Hotaru Haganezuka looked like. Shortly after, the fans took the internet by storm as they could not hold their excitement back on seeing the masked character’s face.

The anime fanbase flooded the internet with multiple reactions, as they could not get enough of how unexpectedly handsome Haganezuka was. A user tweeted how the face reveal was worth the wait, while another revealed how she felt immense joy seeing the character’s face. Moreover, a fan called it perfect.

At the same time, a handful of fans revealed that the manga version of the character was slightly different. As surprising as it sounds, one wrote that the show did no justice to it.

Hotaru Haganezuka is perhaps one of the most interesting face reveals in the history of the show. Demon Gyokko attacked the eccentric sword smith during the climax of the episode as he broke his mask during the fight. While the scene was surely shocking for the fans, the aftermath left the viewers at the edge of their seats.

The Hotaru Haganezuka face reveal was not the only time the series hid a beautiful face behind a mask. Throughout its multiple seasons, the show has often surprised the fans with a face reveal or two. And previously, the show left the fans in awe after they revealed the face of Inosuke Hashibara in season 1.

Many of you might know how Hashibara often wore a bore mask in the show. However, during the “Tsuzumi Mansion” arc, we witnessed how the character actually had a beautiful face underneath the mask.
