The Demon Slayer season 3 has finally come to an end with the last episode dropped. The finale turned out to be one of the most powerful conclusions fans ever saw. The massive cliffhangers have left the audience wondering what would happen next. After all, this has been the biggest question of the series: When will Tanjiro find a cure for Nezuko so she can walk in the sun again? But after the season finale, this thought has been burning the hearts of anime viewers: How did she not get hurt by being exposed to the sun? And amidst this unrest on social media, the creators have dropped another bomb, leaving them even more confused and slightly disappointed.

The official account of Demon Slayer recently sent out the first image of season 4 on Twitter. It is announced that the next season will follow the Hashira Training Arc. The picture shared showed the faces that will have an important role in it. This includes Giyu Tomioka, Shinobu Kocho, Gyomei Himejima, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and Igura Obanai.

Besides this, nothing else has been confirmed from the storyline to the release date. But the assumptions made by fans say that the show will come out somewhere in the summer of 2024. Given the latest revelation about Nezuko’s ability to walk in the sunlight and Muzan’s intentions, this season has a lot more to explain. However, the first visuals focus on more powerful fighters.

As of now, fans are more intrigued with the plotlines and what season 4 will bring for them. They have flooded the comment section with several questions for the story to be adapted in the next installment, with many worried about the next season’s storyline.

Demon Slayer fans are disappointed with the new arc

Manga readers who have been following the show closely are disappointed that season 4 only has the Hashira training arc. According to them, this season will be shorter if they only pick this single arc. Many have expressed their disagreement regarding the same, while others want to know about their beloved Tanjiro’s role in it.

Many worry that focusing only on the Hashira training arc would mean less content for Ufotable to adapt since the arc spans from Chapter 128 to 136 in the manga. But this need not be the case since the Swordsmith Arc saw a good deal of anime-exclusive scenes, which resulted in a 23-minute long episode, despite covering only two manga chapters. If the next season sees such creative liberties that expand scenes from the original source, then we will get a full-length season. But it does make wonder if the season would be upto the standard already set without any major fights.

Meanwhile, some fans are plain excited about the next installment.
