‘Boruto’ Fan Makes a Shocking Claim of How the Ninja Series Inspired ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’

Spider-Man has always been a superhero to look out for. Perhaps one of the most popular characters, Spider-Man has had a huge impact on pop culture. Countless films and shows based on the character made their way to our screens. And after nearly two years, Spider-Man made its comeback to our screens with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Unsurprisingly, the film took the world by storm and one can’t help but talk about it. And amidst all the hype and cheer surrounding the movie, an anime fan has come up with a peculiar theory connecting Boruto with Spiderman.

Cinematic universes and crossovers are incredibly common today more than ever before. As surprising as it sounds, a Boruto fan recently who goes by the username dasien put forward an argument of how the Naruto sequel inspired the latest Spider-Man movie. Furthermore, he shared a number of scenes from both the franchises drawing parallels between the two. He shared those moments which he perceives as visually similar moments including some iconic scenes from both the IPs.

Firstly, the user shared the scene where Miles and Gwen were sitting next to each other alongside a moment from Boruto where he was sitting next to Sarada.

Another interesting crossover the Boruto fanatic pointed out was when both Miles and Boruto fall into a colorful background. Moreover, the user even shared the scenes where both young heroes stood up triumphantly. It might surprise you to know but the fan feels Across the Spider Verse is not the only Marvel project that drew inspiration from Boruto.

As a follow-up tweet, the user revealed that the ninja series even gave rise to an iconic fight scene in Captain America: The Winter Soldier as well. While there are no reports on whether the film actually took notes from Boruto, some scenes surely put one in thought.

When Spider-Man used Marvel’s version of Naruto

As we all know, Naruto is perhaps one of the most loved and popular characters among the masses. Owing to the huge popularity that surrounds the character many franchises have tried to develop their own version of the character. And Marvel is no exception.

Interestingly, a Marvel c0mic The Amazing Spider-Man#15 saw a crossover between the Spider-Man and a parody version of Naruto. In the comic, Peter Parker picks up a manga featuring the Naruto-esque character. However, during a fight against Eddie Broc, Parker lights up the comic. Surprising as it sounds the manga ends up becoming the perfect weapon to take down Broc.
