With only a couple of days left to go until the release of Netflix’s One Piece live-action adaptation, there is an imminent buzz in the anime world. And with the promise of Lionsgate’s upcoming Naruto live-action, it is impossible to not want some of your favorites to be cast. In fact, with one of the largest fan bases in the world, Lionsgate has their work cut out for them. But for the live-action adaptation to be a success, it will take a lot of work to find the right actors to bring Naruto to the big screen and ensure that the studio does not let fans down.

And while the studio has had plans in the process since 2015, the latest one would have fans seeing the live-action adaptation as soon as 2024. But with silence on the Naruto front, the speculation has now begun.

According to Screen Rant, there are only a few actors who would fit the mold and give fans a performance better than they have ever dreamed of and capture the essence of the characters. To ensure the continuation and acceptance of the live-action film, Lionsgate will have to find the right actors for the roles.

While finding supporting characters may be easier, here are the actors who could actually be a good fit for the main three characters of the decades-long series.

1) Oakes Fegley – Naruto

Oakes Fegley as Naruto, could give fans the right dose of mischief but is said to fit the character’s look. Being a young actor, doing not-so-childish things, will help viewers empathize with the character. It will also help viewers feel a connection to the franchise with the level of accuracy. Fegley has also starred in multiple hit films since 2011, which gives him the experience needed to pull off such an in-depth character.

2) Tenzing Norgay Trainor – Sasuke

Tenzing Norgay Trainor is originally a Disney kid who was cast on the show Liv and Maddie. But his background in martial arts can really help the actor nail Sasuke’s character, who has a rather dark past and was forced to grow up too soon. The Freeridge actor can also fit the character’s look with the help of the right costume team.

3) Oona O’Brien – Sakura

While Sakura is the weakest (in terms of powers) of the group, the character goes on to become one of the most powerful in the series. The only actress who has proved she can live up to that is Oona O’Brien from Cobra Kai. While there are similarities between the characters, this role could show viewers another side of the actress.
