One Piece Live-action series to not feature this major character

For those unaware, Portgas D. Ace is Monkey D Luffy‘s older brother and the captain of the Spade Pirates. Moreover, he was also one of the Whitebeard pirates. Given how beloved and popular the character is, leaving him out of the season is surely surprising. However, there could be an interesting reason behind it.

The live-action series will follow a different arc than the manga. Despite a different trajectory, leaving the character out of the series shows the streamer’s loyalty toward the source material. Suffice it to say, sticking to Oda’s original story rather than taking a different route is a good way for the streamer to generate goodwill.
