Anime and Manga series has lately become one of the highest-grossing genres in pop culture. Although its hub, Japan, and Japanese culture have what we can call anime fever, we need to acknowledge that it took a while to bring the all-encompassing grandeur of animes to the outer world. But when the genre did arrive, it was an overnight success. And when we are talking about anime, we cannot do that without talking about Naruto: Shippuden. Not only has it become a household name, but is one of the highest-grossing anime of all time.

Airing above 600 plus episodes, the Naruto universe has made sure to outperform everyone’s expectations. Thrills and action; love and sympathy; revenge and blood oaths- the anime is sure to test one’s emotions. Those who are the most ardent fans of the anime must agree that it has been an emotional roller coaster from Naruto’s delusional dream to become Hokage to actually achieving it. And the action and animation illustrations are what got us hooked from the very beginning.

While a few of the masses consider anime as “cartoons for kids” even in today’s date, the numbers say otherwise. Ever since the day of its resurrection, Naruto: Shippuden has deployed itself as the legacy bearer of one the earliest animes. From employing millions to merchandising tourism and even cosplaying, even Japan as a country has capitalized a lot from this sub-genre, and specifically this series.

And Yes! It is worth every cent. As mentioned earlier, from its breathtaking action to sterilizing animation, and the ability to create the hype required, Naruto has made the best out of every penny ever spent. Well, its gross amount will just prove the same.

Against a budget of 100,000 USD per episode, the Naruto franchise has seemingly fared pretty well. Helmed by Masashi Kishimoto, the series also had a few sequels and a collection of video games. Keeping that and other merchandise in mind, the Naruto franchise has grossed more than $10 billion since its creation.
