After an Incredibly Successful Outing With ‘Creed III’, Michael B Jordan Spotted Hanging Out With Naruto in Japan

Years ago, it seemed like anime was a niche genre in the West, one that the fans did not openly talk about. However, now anime has become perhaps one of the most popular storytelling formats around the world right now. Over the past few years, not only has the genre grown significantly, it has also become a hot topic among the mainstream media. Apart from the common audience that is in awe of the genre, there are various celebrities who are also big fans of anime. Fitting the bill is Michael B. Jordan. And recently, the actor proved his love for the genre yet again.

Michael B. Jordan, as we all know, is an incredibly popular actor. And most of his fans are no strangers to the actor’s love for anime. Time and again we have witnessed the Creed star speak about the genre and his favorite anime as well. As we all know, recently Jordan took the world by storm following the release of his film, Creed III. Owing to the film’s incredible success, a press tour brought Jordan to Japan where he met the iconic anime character, Naruto. As the actor went on a Tokyo tour with Warner Bros., he stopped by at the shonen anime’s store as he posed for multiple pictures alongside the character.

The twitter account of Warner Bros Japan even shared glimpses of the actor at the Jump Store in Tokyo. Jordan rocked a simple outfit as he stood beside the life-sized figure of Naruto with a Gintoki figure right behind. Meanwhile, other pictures saw him having a great time at the store. He played a bunch of games and shopped anime merchandise.

Elsewhere, he even participated in a sticker rally based on the iconic anime My Hero Academia. Looking at the other pictures of Jordan alongside different anime characters; it is safe to assume the actor was surely in for a treat in Japan. To the fans’s surprise the actor even added various references in Creed III.

Michael B. Jordan reveals his go-to anime shows

By now we have realized how huge of a fan Jordan is of anime. Interestingly, the actor leaves no occasion to talk about the genre. Not long ago, the actor sat down for an interview with BBC where he recommend a few anime to watch for those new it. And unsurprisingly, the actor’s choice did not disappoint.

During the interview, Ali Plumb asked Jordan which would be his personal go-to anime. The actor named some very popular titles including One Piece, Dragon Ball-Z, and Naruto. Other anime that the actor anime were Bleach and Hunter X Hunter.
