If you think you have all the patience in the world, try being a Ye fan. The rapper, formerly known as Kanye West, has rightfully tested his fans' patience, with back to back delays of his upcoming, ‘Vultures 2’, alongside Ty Dolla $ign. The wait took everyone aback, so much so that even his fans started to speculate an end of his rapping career.

Just when everyone gave hopes of not just ‘Vultures 2’ but also to ever hear Ye rap again, he rose like a phoenix from the ashes with his newly released ‘Slide.’ The release amidst these speculations makes one question: does the 'Donda' rapper have more to offer? And defying all odds, the answer is nothing but a flamboyant yes.

Just a while back, Ye and Ty Dolla $ign put out their new song ‘Slide’ out on Spotify and yeezy.com. Amidst the flying rumors of no ‘Vultures 2’ ever, the release of the song just hints at one thing: ‘Vultures 2’ might soon see the light.

Scheduled to be released on August 2 earlier, the non-availability of the album and Dolla $ign boasting about their sold out listening party did send mix signals yet again for fans. However, with ‘Slide’ out in open, fans' wishes might come true sooner than ever.

While ‘Vultures 2’ might be out soon, the album is also a testament to how Ye has more to offer contrary to the narrative that was out.

Ye criticizes the industry with his flow

While Ye always makes waves, one chatter that has been out for months is him losing his charm and actually quitting to rap. But with ‘Slide’, Ye clapped back at everyone whilst proving that he has still got that flow in him. “The industry don’t like me,” Ye rapped taking a jab at everyone from his ‘Famous’ controversy to the recent ones.

While Dolla $ign’s rap opened up the intimacy shared by the two rappers, Ye’s verse was a clap back at everyone who doubted him in recent times, a recurring theme in the rapper's career. Amidst speculation about ‘Vultures 2’ and Ye’s fiery rap, the production of ‘Slide’ is a marvel in itself.

That Ye is one of the producers of modern times is nothing but an understatement. Whether it was impressing Jay-Z with it or adding fire to his now rival, Drake’s song, ‘Find Your Love’, his prowess speaks for itself. And joining the list now is ‘Slide’. Compared to ‘Vultures 1’, ‘Slide’ sounds sharper with the creeping strings that open the song almost in a cinematic crescendo, then merging to become a beat.

With loud drums and a close as dramatic as him, the recent from the duo hits all the right spots. As August 2 has gone with no signs of ‘Vultures 2’ to be found, ‘Slide’ comes as a blessing in disguise for Ye fans, making them hopeful for the album drop, if not sooner but later.
