Therefore, it sometimes gets hard for the newcomers to decide what to watch on the platform. Well, there is plenty of quality content that’s up-to-date. Lucifer

Lucifer is a highly popular fantastic crime drama that originally debuted on Fox in 2016. It was canceled after three seasons on the channel. However, the fans persisted and Netflix revived Lucifer. They gave us two more seasons, and the sixth one is on the way. Lucifer season 6 is going to be the last entry for this long-lasting series.

For those who aren’t familiar with Lucifer, it’s about the lord of the hell getting bored and deciding to open a club in Los Angeles. The story is based on a character in a DC Comic named The Sandman.

The last season of Lucifer is expected to be on Netflix around early 2022. There’s nothing certain about that yet.

Lupin

Lupin is a Netflix original drama series that debuted in January 2021. Netflix released only a part of its first season, which was off to a great start. As the second part of the season is now available on Netflix, the series is especially popular nowadays.

The premise is about a gentleman thief, Assane Diop, inspired by the notorious Arsene Lupin, who is on his quest to avenge his father’s death against a wealthy family. Check out Lupin’s trailer below.

Virgin River is a feel-good series about a nurse practitioner who moves far away for her new job.

The Witcher

The Witcher is a Netflix original action-adventure series that’s based on the novel series of the same name by Andrzej SapkowskiSapkowski’s universe was first adapted into video games, which proved insanely popular. After that, Netflix managed to make an excellent TV adaptation for The Witcher.

The Witcher’s first season debuted on Netflix in December 2019. The second one is going to come in Q4 2021. We’ll learn more about The Witcher season 2 in Witchercon.

You

You Series is an unpredictable drama that’s about a creepy bookstore owner, who’s in a delusional relationship. Its story is loosely based on the novel series by Caroline Kepnes, so as to have room for surprises.

Netflix released the latest season of You in December 2019, and we haven’t heard from the series since. Fortunately, You season 3 is in the post-production process right now. It’s going to be on Netflix in Q4 2021, just like The Witcher season 2.

Money Heist

Money Heist is a Netflix original Spanish-language thriller. The series is about a group of criminals, led by a criminal mastermind, who try to hit the Spanish Royal Mint. Things get much more complicated after its first season, and there are always surprises.

Netflix released Money Heist season 4 in April 2020, and we’ve been waiting for the fifth season since. Fortunately, they’re going to release it in two parts, on September 3 and December 3. The fifth season will be the final season, and it’ll consist of 10 episodes in total.

Sex Education

Sex Education is also among the most popular series on Netflix. It tells of a teenager who teams up with his friend, who has a sex therapist mother, to open a sex therapy clinic in the school.

There are currently two seasons of Sex Education on Netflix. The third season is coming soon, but we don’t exactly know when.

The Umbrella Academy

The Umbrella Academy Series about a group of supernatural siblings, who reunite to shed light on the questions about their father’s death. Also, they have to save the world.

There are currently two seasons of this popular work on Netflix. They’re in the production process of the third season, but we don’t know its release date yet. It’ll probably be in 2022.

Shadow and Bone

Shadow and Bone is a perfect choice for those looking for something that’s more fantastic and filled with action. It’s about an orphan mapmaker who finds out about her ability which can change the course of an ongoing war. The story of Shadow and Bone is based on the novels by Leigh Bardugo.

As of now, there’s only one season of Shadow and Bone on Netflix. However, they’ve already renewed the series for a second season. It will hopefully make its way to Netflix in the next year. Meanwhile, check out the trailer of the first season below.

Sweet Tooth

Sweet Tooth is a pretty recent Netflix original series that’s based on a DC Comic. Executive produced by Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey, it tells of a half-boy half-deer who has to survive in a post-apocalyptic environment.

There’s only one season of Sweet Tooth, which debuted in June 2021. It was a huge success, so it seems like a no-brainer for Netflix to renew it for a second season. We’ll wait and see.

Stranger Things

Here’s more fiction for the sci-fi nerds. Stranger Things is an incredibly popular action-adventure series that tells of a group of teenagers surrounded by supernatural events. The series stars Finn WolfhardMillie Bobby BrownWinona Ryder, and more.

The Queen’s Gambit

Even though it’s quite sad to know this series won’t probably continue, The Queen’s Gambit is still a good piece of work to binge on. The story is about a young orphan with a bittersweet story, who learns to play chess in the orphanage. She won’t grow up to be your ordinary chess player, though.

There’s only one season of The Queen’s Gambit on Netflix with seven episodes.

    This is not a good representation, rather is a biased one. K-dramas like Crash Landing on You, Its okay to not be okay are more popular than some of these shows but have no mention in the list.
